Default Removable storage bins under the aft corner hatchs

Sorry for the dumb questions, but I am new to the boat (and new to this genre of boats too, for that matter). Anyway, the removable bins under the aft corner hatches -- where can I find a replacement for one of those if mine is missing? Any ideas? Thanks.

I dont think that they are missing. I never had any either. You have 8" round plates on the bottom of the storage box correct?

Is this Chris or did you buy his boat?

Hi Scott - Answer is well...neither. I'm Kevin, and I bought the boat (SC23) from a guy named Brad. I think there are a couple of other SC in town, but I'm pretty new to the area. You keep yours in Marshfield?

You mentioned 8" round plates on the bottom of the storage box, but that's not what I have - or not in the place that I am thinking about.

I have identical access hatches in the port and starboard aft corners. They open straight down toward the bilge area and steering hoses, etc. On one side, I have a nice fitted bin, with wooden handles, that drops into the opening. It's about 11 x 11 x 10 or something. So I guess I could take that to a plastics shop and have a partner made for it, but I thought they might be available already made somewhere. Or maybe somebody has an extra they don't want?

Hi Kevin,
There's a guy named Chris in Norwell with a 23 Sceptre named Water Rat. He's a member of this site. Is your boat all tricked out with an arch, outriggers, etc., running a Merc 454 I/O?

If you keeps yours in Cohasset, Mark Rattenbury from this site has a white 23 Sceptre inboard in the harbor, plus there's a dark blue Sceptre there as well.

I recently moved to Marshfield from Hull. The SC in my avatar belongs to my father, who keeps the boat in Hingham.

Hi Scott -
No, didn't know about Scott or his boat name. Didn't intend to poach with the user name! I just love the Wind in the Willows reference. My boat is not named. I moved here a year and a half ago and just got the boat last fall. (Has twin Merc 150's, and does not have the arch, etc). I'd be happy to buy you a beer and talk boats sometime when you are up this way late afternoon or on a weekend.
Cheers.
Kevin

Kevin,
That's quite a coincidence with the boat names. On occasion I take 3A home from work, so we could grab a beer anytime. Was your boat recently at Bayside Boatworks at their new location on 3A? I thought I saw a 23 CC w/twin Mercs back in April.

Well let me know when and where you guys have that beer.

My guess is the WaterRat's boat is the one behind Schavio Bros. shop across from St. Anthony's.

Another Seacraft in Cohasset is a welcome site. There's a long history of 23s in the harbor. The Blue Blade is in the water already. Kahili is a bit behind but will splash in a few weeks.

Why don't we pick a time this weekend? Saturday or Sunday afternoon? I'm flexible. And Mark, you are right on the boat location, although it is still in a slightly embarrassing state - I need to do a bunch more work on it, but I guess that will always be the case! If you're both around this weekend, let me know what time works for you guys?
