Ive been fishing in my 84' 20SF and it has a scuppers oneach side, and 2 in the middle, by the engine.
The ones on the sides....(specially the starboard side beacse it has a 70lb battery back there) water comes in, in excessive amounts when you get back there. What is a good solution, not plugs, to keep water out.....but not in. ![]()

askipper3-Move the battery and and fuel tank farther forward and raise the deck, or just try ball scuppers. My 18 did that with the battery(s) in the console and a 358Lb lightweight 2 stroke. Have you talked to Ikan?

Rabud makes a ping pong ball scupper.
Water goes out, but does not come in. Click on products tab, look down 3 rows on the far right. Rabud See ya, Ken

I recently installed the Rabuds on my seafari and i would say they work 75% of the time, the problem is sometimes the ball gets forced up and water just streams in, im going to see if i can glue something in it to prevent that from happening but i might just go back to the old school check valves, all in all, not very impressed with the rabuds.

After moving the Bat forward try keeping the in-deck well dry. less water weight in the hull.

Really no choice, but to keep the battery in there. I run two, one is under the console, and one plauges me in the back.
I will get the water out of the in-well tank. I cant seem to find a plug that fits the hole tho. Also, I'll try the rabuds. what do they run for>

i had both bats under my console on my '84? also had factory stainless steel flappers on the scuppers. they worked pretty good keeping the water out. they were heavy enough to stay closed while at rest but the force of the water when under way was strong enough to drain out. I did make a slight mod to change the angle on the flappers. I fab'd up a shim to put a better angle on the flapper to make sure they were shut when not under way.
