Default 1974 20ft center console(Barcone?)

I am going to look at this boat and the owner knows nothing about this boat. He bought it to fix and it is beyond his abilities. He says it needs a floor and fuel tank and doesn't want to fix it. What other things should I be aware of when looking at this boat and was Barcone another company that used their hull designs? Thanks in advance, Greg..............

The answer to your last question is yes. Although they resemble a 20sf closely I don't think that it has the VDH. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If you are going to put a lot of work into a boat you would be better off doing it to a reputable hull.

There is some guy out there selling (or trying to sell) his Barcone by advertising it as a seacraft 20sf. He's been told 1000x's it's not the same hull/boat etc, but continues to advertise it as such. He's got NO evidence to support his statements . . . other than saying that Barcone's were "built down the street from seacraft".

Doesn't look like a bad center console and Barcone had some 1960's racing history, but it's not the same hull.

Thanks for your help guys, I will have to take it all into consideration on truely how much work it needs, transom, stringers, etc. If I pick this boat up, I'll let you all know, I'm sure going to need some experienced help with it. Thanks again, Greg................

Greg - If it needs a transom, Floor, Stringers . . . Don't even take it for free!!! It'll cost you thousands of dollars in materials (not including hundreds of hours of your own time). You're MUCH better off buying a boat for $5,000 - $10,000 and working a second job at Walmart to pay for it.
