Anybody ever tell you, your boat looks like a dolphin? They tell me that all the time. She definitely has a big smile.

Looking good Strick!

strick,
Got a couple questions. First, I see the 1500 gph bilge pump under the cabin sole. What are you planning for the engine compartment? Second, Are you going to add a bow rail, or are you planning on going without?

BTW, she's looking real sweet. The seat boxes are killer. I also like the PVC hose you used. It's pricey, but IMO much better than most of the alternatives.

Lisa and I were talking about that a while back

Dave- I have another 1500gph sitting under the engine. I am going to put a bow rail on it...kinda a must have item. I was going to use the one from the other boat but it's in too bad a shape because all the fittings are old. I'm talking to a guy right now that can weld one up for me.

Got the trim tabs installed this evening. Fuel tanks go in this weekend. Waiting on my helm pump and seats still. Hope to get lots accomplished this weekend. Still have lots of wood work to do inside the cabin.

Wow, looking great! I need to remount my raw water pump that looks identical to yours that you mounted on the stringer. The original owner had mounted it to the inside of the transom and it fell off. Would you recommend mounting my pump on one one of the stern stringers as you did?

WOW. She is gorgeous. Your attention to detail is impressive. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you've done this before.

I'm confused, though. Are you in CA or AK?

Mitchman-

I don't see anything wrong with mounting it back on the transom as long as the holes are sealed.

Too Fly-

I live in California but have spent quite a bit of time in Alaska. Those pictures are from a friend of mine. I'm in capable of taking good quality pictures

speaking of pictures here are a few of the tabs and teak swim platform. The tabs are Lenco 16x12 (thanks to Bigfluke for helping me with the size and mounting location) The swim platform is just screwed in place for now. I will remove it for the out drive installation and drill out the holes in the transom for thru bolting.

Bushwacker I know you wanted that swim platform mounted lower and so did I but unfortunately the mounting brackets line up over the trim tabs. Re engineering the bottom of the swim platform is something I did not want to have to think about right now. There will be a slide out ladder mounted to the bottom of the platform.

Nice job on the swim platform / deck. that's a BIG one. How high above the waterline is it? Are the stripes at the waterline?

Very nice, two questions, what type of helm chairs are you going to mount on the boxes and where did you get your rubrail, or did your clean the old one up. It looks great.

Thanks fellas

I'm not sure were the water line is going to end up but judging from photos I've seen it should be close to the top boot stripe which would put the platform about 8-10 inches above the water line.

The rub rail is the original rail. When I got the boat it was already polished and wrapped in bubble wrap. The hull on this boat was in really good shape except for some spider cracks in the top cap and a bunch of man made holes that needed to be filled. Now I'm cutting my own holes all over the place
