Default Area 442

Well, Area 442's cover has been blown...
We made national news this AM!
Have a bad fire just to the south of us.
I-95 and US-1 are closed. It is making things a
little un-easy here...

I will keep you posted if I need anyone and everyone
with a trailer hitch on your vehicle!!!!

The following was what I was heading into yesterday
afternoon...

US-1 heading south 6 miles to home

Heading west to home 4 miles ahead...

See ya, Ken

As someone who has run a class 3&5 Wildland Engines I always liked the fact that you a the pond and defensible space at area 442.

Remember if you think it's time to leave you should have been gone an hour ago.

Good luck praying for everyone

Thanks to all for the support!!!!
The worst is over for now.
We did get a quick rain after I made the post this
morning. Then the wind changed direction pushing the
fire into the same way it had come..

It was only 5 miles south of the homestead.
Had a sleepless night with this bad boy!

Sometimes cold fronts are your friends, and some of us to the south. Brought back bitsamonkey and the copter.

Cheers,
Sandy
