Default Trailer upgrades

looking to do some pre-season trailer upgrades. i want to put 4 new springs and dont know what i should get 3 or 4 leaf. i would think 4 leaf but the 4 and 3 leafs hold the same weight. and can i bring the bunks closer so they are just barely hit the first drop down on my 23 so it centers the boat?
Thanks

I would ask some people that have used both- for all you know the 4 leafs ride like a lumberwagon and really bouncy.

Leave the main bunks under the stringers and add keel bunks forward to center the boat. Works like a charm whether you drive on or winch on.
