Default Outdrive prep w/ zinc chromate ?

Was wondering if using zinc chromate as primer on bare spots in inaccessible aluminum gimbal and transom mount areas would be a good idea to be followed by interlux primocon and trilux ?

On drive I can sand any bare aluminum shiny and go with straight primocon/trilux... Gimbal and mount impossible to get in to to sand... Thx

Aaahh... Grasshopper, but this is the the place for Little Known Truth.

Only in a rush 'cause it's time for us northerners to prep and get 'er in. I have a weekend with no wife, no kids. It's a luxury that I NEVER have. Yard work be damned !

So, one way or another, this bear of a job will get done - with or without Zinc Chromate.

I have a call into the manufacturer so if I hear anything, I will share the info...
