Default Cushion fabrication

Anyone do this or know someone who does? Working on a leaning post and need a cushion made for it. 32" wide, 8" on top, and 7 1/4" in the front.

Look around online as some of those are standard.

You can find similar cushions on ebay via greatlakessipper.com many times depending on stock, otherwise a local upholster shop can make them, I am actually having my LP cushion and rocket launcher back rest cushion custom made. I bought the vinyl off ebay it was about $40-60 for a 5 yard roll of white ribbed and a black vinyl.

I was quoted at almost $300 bucks for a 32 inch cushion. I don't friggin think so. Still need to see what others say, but that sounded way to high and not as nice lookin as I would have thought for $300. Ive been loking for some custom places, tomorrow I'll see if one in Falmouth is open.

The viynal (sp) is not what cost so much as the foam which is expensive as hell. At least it is retail. Thats why i dont mess with marine upholstery. The Cushions are not difficult to make at all.

you got $100- 125 in material cost wholesale plus 2-3 hours labor 300 is not unreasonable

That's what I'm realizing as the quotes roll in. I can buy a brand new leaning post for $500. But a cushion alone is between 280-330 so far.
