Default stuck at Fort Meyers

Ok I like Florida and all but our flights back to moose and squirrel country (Mass) have been cancelled.Because of the weater, Southwest earliest flight is Tuesday.I need to be home as I have two doc appointments that are very important, and both are on tuesday.
So now Im not only in nasty pain from a torn muscle, but the four of us cant find a motel/hotel anywhere near the airport.
This trip has now turned into a nightmare.

You can see the results of our Sanibel fishing on my previous post

You don't want to go home to 60 mph blizzard conditions do you???

Call the chains and explain your situation. You will have to get farther away from the airport.

Yeah, I dont want to be flying in blizzard conditions, thats for sure.
We had four of us on cells and laptops sitting in the new suburban looking for lodging. My daughter and son who do qujte a bit of corprate travel finally got the last room at the Naples grand beach resort. At 550.00 a night it was no bargin but beggars cant be choosy.
So now (my fingers crossed) , tomorrow Am were flying into Balt/wash then on to Islip Ny and driving from there to our homes in Ma.
Threre was not a single room anywhere closer than naples.Good thing is that national let us keep the rental on the suburban for no charge for the extra day.I just need to learn how to drive it, its beyond Hi-tech

I`m the same way. Pull fuse from abs?
Check.
Roll up windows?
Check.
Manual locks?
Check.

Somewhere a Bushwacker is laughing at me and with good reason.
I`m better with fire and food.
Lana, zug zug.
