Default Acetone/pwr steering fluid didn't work

Well ah,
The mix of power steering fluid and Acetone didn't help to free my seized GT150 150hp mid 80's Johnson.
Not that I held out much hope anyway,I figured I'd give it a shot for the heck of it.
Looks like I'll stick it on Craigslist for a parts motor.Haven't decided whether I'll sell it as a whole engine,or part it out.I'd like to part it out,but part of me is thinking that I don't want the work involved in breaking it down.

BTW,
The Acetone and power steering fluid mix is like salad dressing with oil and vinegar, they don't stay mixed very long.So if they don't mix, then how does it help?.The theory "I think" is that the Acetone makes it easier for the fluid to penetrate past any rust or corrosion and help free it up.
Oh well after I decide what I'm going to do with this boat,I'll shop for a late model used outboard.

Probably could be emulsified but that could be tricky.

Its very rare that a homemade brew works better than something that is sold to the retail market...LOL

If it worked better, they would be selling it....

Thanks for trying, and letting us know. Good luck finding a replacement.
