Hello?---Is this CSC?.
Is this Classic SeaCraft? Have I found the place for all things SeaCraft?
In the last week, I have had no less than five (5) request for Proposals to restore SeaCraft's, plus we have an ongoing restore at the shop. Sooo, my question was, where are all these request coming from? And, I thought of this place, I have not been here in awhile. What have I missed? Is GFS still here? I know he got booted from some other boating site. PS: Holy cr--, I need to redo my sig, those boats are GONE. |

Love this guy, the steering wheel comments on thehulltruth.com website still cause me to crack up!

All I was trying to say was the steering wheel in the pictures was not included in the sale, not that the boat would not have a steering wheel. And, in true THT fashion, it got a life of it's own. |

I have no doubt there is an increase of SeaCraft restores looking at new boat prices lately. Hell, I wish I could afford one of your restorations as you and your team do spectacular work. Maybe when you guys get caught up you can offer a reverse mortgage SeaCraft restore program. Considering our old sleds will continue to grow in value and we will die soon you can finance the restoration and take ownership after we pass through the Pearly Gates.

This I know for a fact. Any restores I have done for me personally, I have sold at a loss. Yet, the person I have sold them to has made money when they resell. Go figure. Thank you'all for the compliments! |

Sounds like you need to sell your boats with a steering wheel to get full value in order to make a profit. Or maybe that really fancy umbrella should go with the boat. Plus if I remember correctly there were a few rather attractive young ladies you should have used more in your advertisements. Just trying to be of help.

All joking aside, the Seacraft boats you have sold are beautiful and well done, unfortunately not everyone sees the beauty and compares it to a 2016 Nauticstar or some other boat that is selling for 50k but doesnt have near the quality or build that a Seacraft does.

True.
Everyone wants the quality and the toys, they just don't want to pay for it. Almost to a "T", I have had to "cheapen" the boats up. Take off the Foo Foo. Steering wheels (sentimental value), TUCCI Top, etc. And almost to a "T", after purchase, they come back for the Foo Foo. On the Contender I did, the new buyer went back with what I took off, granted smaller engines, but almost all the "other" stuff. All that fancy stuff comes at a cost. There is a big difference between an Igloo cooler and a roll out Frigid Rigid. All of the "little details" we do, cost money to do. People assume because that I am in the business it is free or cost a fraction of what it cost. Not so. Anyway, thank you all for the compliments. Kinda nice to not get beat up. Yet. :-)))) |
