An old thread, but still a good idea.
I can't think of anything nicer than to sit down with a nice drink or even a coffee on a sunny winters day in New England, sitting by the fireplace while going thru the pages of the amazing work that so many members on this site accomplished. You southern boys will have to suffer the torture of looking out the window at palm trees with the air conditioners turned to the coldest setting. Either way a coffee table book is a great idea.I hope you pros who do such a good job on this site can find your way to making a great book on the incredibly beautiful Seacrafts rebuilt by the members here. My work isn't even close to the outstanding jobs of many others here, but i think I could come up with a few pics if needed. When I did the restoration on my Tsunami way back in 2006,(where does the time go?) my Son & Daughter surprised me with a book on fathers day with pictures and words that I took and spoke of during the restoration of my Seacraft. It was one of the nicest gifts that I ever received.Neither of them has a lot of knowledge of boats, and they had to pilfer the pictures without me knowing as it was to be a surprise,so the pictures are not always in the order of the time line as the work progressed but they worked hard putting it together for me. I had it on my office desk and people would always flip thru the pages and remark how nice it was and got to see a little bit of the work involved. There was no better fathers day gift that they could have given me. A professionally done coffee table book would be a great idea. Here's a few random pictures from the pages of the photo book they made for me.My camera skills aren't the best, its better in person but you get the drift.
