Need Transom Advice - Old SF20

Just purchase an early 70's SF20. The previous owner tried to repair the transom with Seacast but I'm considering tearing it apart and going with marine plywood.

Questions:
Anyone tried to muck out seacast before? Thinking it might be a nightmare.

Should I remove the inner or outer part of the transom? Thinking inner because the baitwell side is cracked and is in poor shape.

Raise the transom to 25" or go full with a bracket.

Other than that the hull and deck are in good shape. The transom and scuppers and fuel tank are the three major repair/upgrade items.

took a hammer to it and there appear to be a few soft spots.

I put composite in the transom of my boat, not plywood. But I plan on keeping my old boat for a long time. Cost really wasn't that much more. Just my 2 cents

I don't know how a pourable material can have soft spots. Mine filled 100% of where the old nasty wood was and it's hard as a rock.

I'm with ya Jorge, even though we used Arjay on our transoms I can't see where the Seacast pour would be any different. If you pour it just like the instructions say it's like one of those "how can you mess this up" things!
