When I talked with him last, he had just gotten the transplant but the new cells were not reproducing well

Just a year younger than myself.

Gillie and I had corresponded about our Seafari’s for years and also about his Moesly 21 which looked just like the one a good friend of mine had bought new in 1965. Gillie wanted to come to the Anclote Gathering in October 2013 after visiting his sister in Jacksonville. However the motel we were using was full, so I offered him a spare bunk in my Seafari. I was planning to stay on the boat during the gathering, so Gillie was my guest aboard the Restless Lady for a couple of nights. We got to know each other quite well over those two days and you could never meet a nicer guy . . . well educated and articulate but friendly, happy and humble with a great sense of humor. Everything about him in that obituary was absolutely true! Gillie’s eloquent posts on the forum were a pleasure to read - he will surely be missed by veteran CSC members.

Very sad to hear this! I enjoyed meeting him at the Anclote gathering in 2013 with Denny.

RIP Gillie.
I'm sure God is providing him on a smooth ride like his SeaCraft did here on earth.
