Default 18sf console position

Hi,

I bought a 1976 18sf and I am wondering how to tell if the console was moved forward? Does anyone have the stock distance from the front raised deck to the front of the console? Thanks!

Here's a pic of my unmolested 18SF before I moved the console forward.
Not the best, but kind of gives you an idea of where it landed on the fuel tank hatch cover.

I never measured that distance before moving mine forward. I remember the front edge of the fuel tank hatch stuck out about 4 or 5 inches in front of the console. I moved my console forward +/- 9" to completely cover the hatch.

From the bottom lip of the stock center console to the forward box, it is 28.5".

Keep in mind your cable lengths and wiring length. I had already replaced all of these before I moved mine so I only moved it a few inches forward so I wouldn’t have to replace them again. It still made a nice difference.

I can see it now, it had some weird grey circle with a dash in it. I am pretty sure mine is stock, that helped a lot thanks!!
