Thumbs up Estimate of cruise speed - 1977 SC23 Inboard

Hi Guys,

Putting the peek on a ‘77 23 inboard, rehab’d about 5 years ago. Brand new Crusader 5.7l 330hp was installed.

Can anyone estimate what she’d cruise at? I’ve seen 17-18 up to 22-23.

Thoughts?

I have a 78' Inboard - same engine put in 3 years ago - cruise 22-23 - prop will determine where you end up

Thanks for that kevmen, I know the boat comes with two brass wheels. I can live with 22-23.

22 knots all day @ 12gph. The beauty is you run this in flat calm and 2ft chop. Not to mention how rare they are and the heads that will turn when you pass.

No question Will. I stop and stare at this avatar every time it pops up. That picture has it all. Want a scan of that hull on a hat or a shirt.

Thanks! That shot was from the first real outing with friends and my buddies boat. We are working on a profile/line drawing of the boat for shirts and stickers. I keep you in mind when we go to that point.

Im getting 23-25 knots cruise now with my 350 mag @3500. Seems to be the sweet spot. The old style 350 i was around 20 @3200.
