Default Re: New transom wood - how to hold in place

It seems like there are a lot of different ways to repair the transom... (2)3/4" , (3)1/2", multiple luan sheets and composite boards.

What are the new composite boards and where do you get them?
I guess they are some kind of plastic/fiberglass
mixture?

I hope I don't need them, I'm even kinda afraid to thoroughly check my transom. I guess it's time to get serious.
