Default A request for help, tips, or suggestions

Hi everyone,
I am new to this board and am interested in learning about restoring a Seacraft. Over the years I have seen these Seacraft boats and have always thought they had fine lines, design-wise. I stumbled upon this site while looking into building my own boat and thought why not look into restoring a boat instead. I believe I can build a good, seaworthy boat but it would NEVER look like these Seacrafts I see on your website.
If anyone can direct me to any resources (books, websites, etc.), or offer any tips that can give me direction in this I would appreciate it. While I have no experience in boat restoration I am a welder/fabricator and have designed and built many complex assemblies (in steel!), from stairways and landings to forklift attachments and spreader bars used in overhead lifting.
Thanks in advance.
Jim
