Transom work for 20' sceptre .

I'm ready to do fix my boat, I bought this in really bad condition. But the transom I belived need to get replace. My question is "HOW" and this sea cratf came with a 302 ford engine. How bad is this? I took the engine out to re-built it. I take any tips help money what ever
