Default Yamaha O2 Sensor

I developed a few issues after a week of running all over the keys during the first week of Lobster season. My 99 225 yami started to smoke, and sputter a little more then normal, and stalled often. I discovered the Oxygen sensor's top bolt had loosened up a full turn, and the gasket was letting some exhaust out inside the cowling. After getting home I followed my friends advice and ran a pint of ring free in 3 gallons of gas thru the motor then let it sit for 30 min to soak, I also soaked the O2 sensor in a shot glass of Ring free, which turned nasty with deposits almost instantly. Replaced the gaskets, blew out and reinstalled the sensor and WOW !!the motor has never run better. It Purrs like a kitten and runs super smooth. I had heard the O2 cleaning should be done every 100 hours or so but never bothered, but it made a huge difference, for anyone with a Yami Fi I reccomend it. Anyways it was geat seeing Skip and Carla, and having fun fishing and diving. And we cannot wait to get back down there.
