"New" to me, Seacraft 23

Hi y'all. New to this website.
I just purchased a '76 inboard 23CC here in Bermuda.
I ran one about 10 years ago with a V8 diesel and loved it.
Finally bought this unrestored model.
The mercruiser had been ripped out and the boat power washed. The removable deck is soft and the tanks are loose in the boat.
I intend to do a partial restore, painting and installing a new gas inboard.
Any pearls of wisdom? I'd like a little direction if anyone has the experience as to gears, props or anything else you may suggest.
