Default Hello, new member on board

Hey guys, my name is Gregg and Chuck,,aka Strick,, sent me this way. Chuck is our horse vet and we live in the same community. I don't have a Seacraft but I do own a 24' Skipjack open. It was a 600.00 carcass when I bought it with a shot outdrive , no motor or trailer, a pallet of misc. parts, some of it was usable some not. I took a couple days going through this site getting a feel of what you guys are doing with your sleds, very nice work gentleman. I wish I had jump aboard awhile ago during the beginning of my project. I had no real knowledge or experience of fiberglassing and basically learned as I went. I turned the Skipjack from a open to a Pilot House. I built the PH out of Aluminum and painted the whole boat with Awlgrip. I had to make everything for the boat, some fiberglass, some Aluminum, even have some Starboard in places. I'm finishing up the last small items on the Skippy. I've taken it for a quick shakedown run last week and will be putting a few more hours on it this up coming weekend here on the Delta. If all go's well and and I finish these last few things I'll splash it next week in the SF bay and do some Halibut fishing. My project was like most others, it took longer planned, cost more than the budget allowed and even though it's just barely completed, I'm already starting to think about my next project. But I don't mention it around my wife just yet, she needs a little more time recovering from this one

I know you guy's are SC fans, but I think we all love boat porn no matter the boat. Here's a before shot taken three years ago when I brought her home and here's the after shot taken last week. Yea I know three years but there's a lot that happened during that period that included moving, job, and a surgery. I can't wait to get her on the Tuna grounds this summer,,,gregg
