I also agree with NoBones, but the whole trailering scenario is enough of a hassle for us to keep the wife from maintaining interest in boating.
(Can't keep the boat at my house due to driveway incompatibility, so have to go pick it up at our storage yard. Elderly Ford Ranger is not super excited about towing. Sesuit ramp in Dennis is nice but the lines, parking, fees and chaos can be a real buzzkill.)

Boat on mooring is walking distance from our house. It is tide restricted, can only get out 3-4 hours before and after low tide but that's not too inconvenient for us.

Since it's been on the mooring we've used it more this year so far than in my whole history of ownership!
And when we're not on the boat my wife says she wishes we were!
Thats worth it right there.

Dont mind cleaning poop, as long as I can keep it within reasonable amounts.
I'll have to stroll down there in a bit and see if the mono and bird-B-gone were effective.

Intrigued about the rubber snake idea...
