Interesting the bow flare at the cap is something that I had considered, would be very easy, and would take on more of a Carolina flare. The only change i have considered. if you kept the curve constant it may mean 6" and not sure how much that would help with spray.
those deep steps kick the water out very far at speed and its going to come back at you with the right wind anger and speed regardless . isn't it uncanny how often regardless of hull that wind , speed and quartering is just right for a wet ride?
