Hi everybody.
Bought a 23 cc with a 5.7 liter mercruiser (1996 approx 275 hrs.) with a bravo 2 outdrive and I'm thinking about selling. Engine and outdrive are fine but need new belts, a tuneup and it wouldn't hurt to install new risers. Boat needs some work - has 2 soft spots in floor, the usual gel coat cracks and crazing any 1974 boat will have, and I tried to dry transom (not too wet) and bored numerous holes which I don't have time to fix. Also the guy who owned it before me had a thing about attaching "things". I removed numerous holders, brackets and the like and pulled out several dozen screws that did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They were just there. ????? I also removed the rub rail when I started repairs but I have it all. Boat honestly needs about 4-5 grand of work (or you could send it to METAN Marine in Mass. and have it made new for 12-15 thousand if you want to spend that kind of money. Actually I was going to do just that because I always wanted an older 23 in showroom condition.) She was fishing when I bought her - I got it from a seacraft dealer who -get this- had his choice of new seacrafts, whalers and other new fancy jobs but used this 23 to fish for sharks 20-30 miles out. Make me an offer - if it's good enough we can talk - just please don't insult me with the offer. Make it reasonable 'cause you're buying my boat and my dream. AND REMEMBER - I'm CONSIDERING selling. By the way, I'm in suffolk county, long island NY and if I decide to sell to you, it's "as is" and you pick it up. Oh ! One last thing. Please don't ask me why I'm considering selling. No tricks-I just don't want to get into it. Thanks.
