Well, this afternoon (2:30pm) the wind was swaying out of the SW so I new the seas would be calm. Packed up the dog, wife and a couple of rods to try my luck at the migrating Tarpon on the beach in my Flats Skiff. The seas were layed down as expected. We scored a few dozen sardines and headed north looking for the rolling Tarpon pods. NO LUCK. So enjoying the calm sea we headed out to 55 ft of water (+/- 2 miles). We put out the livies and BAM!! Skyrocking Kingfish but they quickley whacked off the bait. 2nd bait now being free-lined and Bam again! This time, Mr Sailfish made his appearance.... Kind of a cool catch on a 18' Viper flats skiff
