Default Boat wiring?

I'm coming to the final stages of a seacraft build, with a lot of thanks to the site, and I'm thinking about wiring. I've wiring smaller skiffs and kept everything clean and simple with no problems and years of service. The boat is a 23 inboard and when it came apart everything: strut, rudder, shaft, through hulls were all "bonded" to the motor, I think. The boat will be getting some decent electronics, which I don't know if they would also be bonded? Could anybody shed some light on this situation? Or point me in the right direction. My old way was red to red, black to black, solder, shrink wrap, wire tye done! Thanks for all the help.
