Default Seafari 20

Guys, I am still thinking about this Seafari I looked at yesterday. Either side of the transom there is a place where you can feel some give when you press on the transom. I am not sure if this is by design, or if the glass is coming loose from the plywood, or if there is rot in the wood. It is evident from the inside and the outside. It feels more solid closer to the middle. Wish I had made more precise measurements and such, but was quickly losing interest in it while I was looking. Can anyone say what the problem is likely to be? It is powered by a Mercruiser....
