1976 18cc with 1984 140 hp evinrude?

Hi

First post here so thanks for all of the great info I have already picked up browsing around. I just found out I blew my motor and i need to get something put on my 18 before the stripers show up. Does anyone have an opinion on an older(1984) v4 140 hp evinrude. I found one that almost looks new and has been well cared for with a price that will allow me to make other upgrades on my boat and from what I have been reading on repowers for the 18 sounds like what I want at about 300lbs.
