x2 . . . my brothers both have young kids 3 - 6 and they use their boats on average twice a year. Both of them complain that the boats cost them about $1000/trip. My older brother was so busy he left his boat on a mooring all summer and the only time moved it was when it sunk (on the mooring). Toss your money in the market, go fishing with friends and wait for a deal 5 - 7 years down the road.
