Took the Seacraft 100nm
Well Friday I took the boat for its 1st offshore trip. Left the dock at 3:30am. Around 4:15 we started noticing water coming in from the bow of the cuddy area. Checked the bilge and everything was cool. Ran the twin 1998 ocean runners at the tune of 1nm per gallon. I need more than 160 gallons! Got to the fishing grounds and all was good until 10:30 am. Winds are
Now 15-17 knts out of the NE. 4'-5' seas. I tolerated this for awhile but as fuel would have it I was forced to leave. Ran home in the stuff at 18knts with more water in my face than I dare to talk about. The Scepte performed Awsome! The water that was coming in was from the new rub rail being installed and the freaking silicone on the top cap joint coming off. The previous owner didn't bother caulking the old rub rail holes up. My automatic life jacket actually inflated in the cuddy area due to all the water. And too go with all of that I only caught a Bonita. Better than nothing!
