Default Yamaha 350 on a Chris 26 CC

Today a friend of mine gave me a ride in his new 26' CC Chris Craft with a Yamaha 350 on it.

We did not have big waves but a good chop...the boat rode well(it weighs about 7500#). Nice and dry when going over wakes and sticking the nose deeper.

Performance was really hard to judge, for me it seemed like it took awhile to jump on plane...not like the 21. The boat just seemed heavy to me in a good sense .

We did not to do a top speed run, but at 32-3400 rpms I notice we were going approx. 24-26 mph and burning around 12.5 gal/hr. He said he never sees below 10 at any speed except slow. Up around 30 we were into the 15 gph.

The motor noise was very low. Overall nice boat for what his needs are.
