Default Restore original seats

I'm looking to restore the original seats in my potter 20sf. The fiberglass shell needs some reinforcement in the seat of the chair where it attaches to the metal pedestal. I figured I'd practice my glassing technique on those.

Anybody have any experience bringing those seats back to life?

Also does anyone have any extras laying around with the actual upholstered cover that fit over the fiber shell? Or if there aren't any surplus around anyone who knows where I can get some?

I'm aware it might be popular to ditch the chairs all together and install a leaning post, but I'm on a tight budget. So tight, I might just pull the pedestals out all together if I can't rehab or replace the chairs for less than $50-100. I prefer to spend my money making the boat run and fish. I can always sit on a cooler if it comes to it.
