New Ramp Fee's
The City of New Smyrna Beach, FL. has just started a new "user fee"
for the three city boat ramps. The charge is $20 a day !!! Where as the residents of the state that live with in the FIND (Florida Inland Navigation District) are entitled to two free passes.. As they with the County of Volusia Port Authority funded the ramps.. You have to register or you will be fined and towed. It has to be renewed yearly. Copies of your Florida property tax bill, Utility bill, vehicle registration and a copy of your FL drivers license have to be uploaded to the NSB website where I high lighted the link above... As all of us know that boat ramps all over the state are maxed out.. On weekends the Orlando / Ocala crowd comes over here and you guessed it "Ramp Rage" ensues.... Those guys are not going to be happy with the new fee ! So if you live in the FIND district and want to use our ramps here go ahead and register, its free..
