Default 2016 Garmin 94svChirp

2016 Garmin 94svChirp only updated once in summer of 16, I believe. Never had a problem with the chart plotter before. Sunday, while trying to get dead nuts over a rock (#), I was on the bow while my buddy was operating to get over his number. It was rough and I’m up in the hatch wondering what the f**k he is doing. We missed and tried several more times. Eventually he took a turn at traversing the hot, humid, confined space to get to the bow and anchor. He almost got sick, returned topside and never went below again! Haha

That’s when I found the problem. The GPS was very delayed in loading and updating, making it virtually useless. I was getting sick just trying to navigate. That’s when he said “I’ve been using the compass all morning!” We never got within 37 feet of the spot.

Start with an update?

TIA,
Vezo, Part II
