Default 1984 23 CC opinions

I’ve got the opportunity to purchase an 84 23 ft for what I feel like is a pretty good price. I currently have a potter era 18 ft that I love and am looking to add a bigger boat. I’ve researched and found that the 81-82 hills are very strong and most people like them and I’ve seen that the 87 and later are the tracker era that are less desirable. I haven’t seen much about the boats in the 84 range. What are everyone’s opinions on these? It’s my understanding that these are pre tracker era but under a different name than the csy boats of 81-82. I like the boat but don’t want to find out later that it’s not as strong as the earlier hulls. The current owner has never really run the boat offshore, mostly freshwater use which is good in terms of keeping the boat in good condition but has me a little worried that issues may surface when I start running her hard offshore.

Thanks,
Ryan
