For $600, sounds like it is worth the money. "Is it worth the trouble and work" - the way I see it, you really have to want to do the work to make it worthwhile. It has to be a labor of love. You can't look at a total refurb as an investment necessarily, since your expenses will outweigh the resale value once you're done. Hopefully the experts (Fellow-ship, Trayder, EBEACH, That70sboat) can give you some cost estimates as I have never done a refurb before. Just my $0.02.
