Default 20'cc fuel capacity

I'm in the middle of a complete rehab on a 1971 20'cc, can those of you who have gone through this offer some insight as to what size fuel tanks you've put in? I'll likely be putting a Suzuki 140 4-stroke on the back when finished. I don't want to overload the boat but I want plenty of fuel for longer excursions. Thoughts??

Mark,

On my 1971 20' CC my fuel (50 gal)tank is under the seat in front of the center console. Fuel fill is on the console and there are saftey issues with that ( I don't smoke ). The balance feels good but I would prefer the tank in the floor set up.

Bacdoc,

I've got the same setup as you at the moment but I'm having a new tank put in under the floor. I don't like the tank-in-console setup and am redoing everything else anyway. I don't smoke either but find putting a gas nozzle over the console to fill up everytime messy at best.
