This story makes you realize how quick things happen on the water, and makes me think about how lucky EBEACH and I were out in those seas over last weekend. This guy was in the same area as us. I wonder if that was where the CG lifeboat was headed when it zoomed past us with lights flashing?

I feel like I've got a lot of time on the water but this just keeps happening. My concerns of crash pumps and the now non-draining floor system. It's like its only a matter of time! One to three footers in the 20? Never even think of this kind of stuff. Seriously something to think about. Thanks Vezo, Part II.

That wasn’t luck, it was seamanship! That, and a few brews. Never would I have gone out in that if it weren’t for Jason’s boat. I wish I was just “sipping” on the brews, I may not have cracked my melon on the windshield. Glad we both made it back to port. Thanks to the 2A buoy and Jason’s boat!!

What a blast this past weekend. Thanks for braving it with me!! Gotta say it was something I will never forget. I’ll never forget those breakers off Bretton point , port side as we approached the 2A.

In some respects, it was seamanship. You did a fantastic job running the boat in all that slop and never once did I feel we were in jeopardy. I have to commend you for showing me where everything was BEFORE we were underway - life jackets, flares, VHF, etc. This is something a lot of people take for granted (me included) and don't take the time to show newcomers around their boat.

You may be relatively new to boating, but you certainly have caught on quick. I'll ride with you any time. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

It's fortunate that all turned out OK. However, I believe the boat is an 18' Wellcraft CC, not a 20' Seacraft. Two feet is alot in those conditions. I know it was worse in the afternoon than when I was there in the morning and I don't think I'd have taken an 18 out in that.
