Re: Shiver Me Timbers!
I thought that the pic might keep some of your timbers limber.Just remember, this site is rated PG. Now, about those limber holes, on the boat that is, remember? Could anyone tell me how far foward of the stern they are located. Looks like I'll have to put some in. Maybe I could get a rebate from Tracker.

Re: Shiver Me Timbers!
Looks like they are less then a foot from the transom. I finally started paying attention to the text on this thread.

Re: Shiver Me Timbers!
Couple concers - before you drilled the holes you need to know how the water was getting in. Is it an OB? Are your forward hull vents reversed and sucking in spray water? Does this happen on rough days? I seem to recall a few years ago someone said they suspected water getting in from theose forward hull vents. For all of the rest of the technical stuff mentioned go with the rest of the thread.
Send me a large size of your avatar so I can fix it for you (and everyone else)

Re: Limber Me Timbers
Been there Done that, My boat is an 89 23cc. There are no drains in the stringers all they done was put a 3in notch in the stringers at the transom, it will still hold 3 0r more gallons on each side. remove the console, center hatch, fuel tank, and you will find where the stringers are coming loose from the hull,Also where the water is standing on the outside of the stringers it seeps thru the glass into the transom.Had my transom checked by a pro, said it was good, when i got into the transom there was no wood left. They really use alot of glass in the transoms. There are alot of pics if you look up( salvagefirst 23) posted on 3/26/05, it will show you everything that you may run in to. Good Luck, Les
