Default tilt/trim not functioning

when I try to lift the engine the pump sounds like it is squealing .Could this be low fluid, air in the lines, needs bleeding , or more likely the pump gone south? If it is the pump , any ballpark idea of the cost to repair.2000 Suzuki 225 2-stroke

The engine won't move when you try to tilt it or engine does move but the pump squeals? Squealing like brakes do when you need to replace the pads?

the engine does not move now , however 6 months ago it would move but only after several moments of the squealing sounds, it was as if it would not pump for a few seconds and then take hold and lift the engine

Have you used the motor long enough to tell if the tilt function got slower with time or just one day stopped?

a little longer on the squealing over time, but once it caught it lifted the motor normally, also there is apparently some type of fluid leak, just under where the engine is attached to the bracket the grass is dead

Your out of oil. Check for leaks around the cylinder seals. The brushes on the tilt motor were making a metallic squeal on mine.
