Default Twins on a 20SF / MA / Seafari / Sceptre

With the new era or $4-$6 gas, what is your opinion of resurrecting the 20 with light twins. This is for the budget offshore person who wants twins for more than nearshore fishing. This was offered in the 70's as original set-ups with 85 max hp per motor. Ed's has 2 stroke 90 Yamahas (260 lbs. each)for $5100 each. Do you think this market is primed to grow with our economy and gas prices???

Default Re: Twins on a 20SF / MA Transom Mount or Bracket??

Yes Col. Yeager , I do! I used to try to fish on Fridays to avoid all the Bozos and pressure on the fish. I don`t see that anymore. Peanut Island is still a zoo, but I see far more people anchored up on wrecks or drifting the reefs, and far fewer of them. My favored method, the ole run n gun now requires 2 or 3 helpers. It was common to see light twins in the late `60s and 70`s on short boats. weight=bracket these days.
