Default 1969 Seafari 20' with Title

Hi All,

Reality is setting in with 3 young kids and only free time to fish the ’79 seafari
So, less time to start on this or any other projects.

There is no motor as I planned to go to bracket/outboard.

The boat appears to be in really fine shape for it age!

Asking $500 with trailer.
Think the trailer alone is worth ~$300 with all the crap trailers listed in the NE for more $

If it don’t sell, thinking about closing in the transom and tow offshore as my 20’ fishing cooler

PM with any questions …

Thanks Nick

Btw; Jason was PayPal’d so don’t ask …

How are the stringers, decks. A lot of soft spots? Is the trailer up to a couple hundred mile trip?

Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim,

Stringers and deck seem to be in great condition. What i assume to be the original non-skid is in great condition also.

Worst spot is gunnel/rubrail on port side is thin. Personally i would beef up/back up under the gunnels around the rod holders anyhow.

Looked closer at the trailer no rot, just minor surface rust. The tires have dry rot, might not be an issue with such a light load but might be safe to replace. Bearing/seals should be fine, bearing buddies and seals are not leaking on the inside. Best to pic up a spare hub assembly or two and roll on ... depends what your plans are for the trailer.

I could also trailer some of the way if that helps.

I will send you a PM with my cell if still interested ...

- Nick

Yeah, Nick,
From what I've seen you're worthy of a 20' icebox. Maybe call it Ouzin' Thunnus

Great deal folks - early Seafari's spared no expense in construction...

The boat is what I am looking for, just trying to convince the wife! I have been affected by the economy like most and dont have the money to restore right away and it would sit next to the house for a while. that is her concern.

Im working on it, Jim
