Sonicaire- not just for teeth
I was trying to free up some corroded zippers for an awning, and soaking in hot water alone wasn't doing it. They are aluminum YKK zippers, and plastic teeth. They were corroded up nicely. I though about the ultrasonic cleaners at the jewelry store in the mall, and thought they might clean up BOAT jewelry.
So with it above or below water, (not sure which was the magic) a Sonicaire toothbrush freed up the zippers in no time- shaking the crud out of the middle that I don't think I could have gotten to otherwise. It also helped scrub up the snaps. Just change the head afterwards or your mouth will taste funny for a week. |
