Thanks Guys! I'm gonna raise the transom and have the boat overhauled. I know I will be kicking myself if I don't. And BA17 you made my week lol. I've already been down the road of "trying" to restore a boat. The wife got so furious with me she sold it on craigslist when I was out of town for $500!

Next thing you know you are drinking a 12 pack of beer a day, sniffing Imron fumes out of a bag and stealing copper out of the neighbors AC unit to pay for the upgrades, I've seen it a million times.....

Put some power on that thing and ride it until it requires some attention. You will be surprised how nice that boat will look after you spend a day or two on it with wax and a buffer. Awesome find BTW. I will give you $2,600 for it!
Are you a mental health professional? Do you have the SC endorsement? I must hide.

Your wife can`t sell your boat if she doesn`t know it exists...

Very funny,
GFS

Buy a 20" motor that is supported by Bay Manufacturing. For the 5" extension if you chose to do so later. Run it. Have fun. See what you like. Try a 115hp or lighter. Under 375 lb if you can. Raise the transom in 2016 or 2017 once you are sure. Or don't have a 23 or 25 footer yet...
