Thanks to fellow forum member Dave S. for the good deal on the Dolphin electric reel

the more I use this boat, the less I think of getting a slightly bigger one. Im thinking of building another one next year.

I fish for swords solo out of an 18' SeaHunt, it's not even a SeaCraft; your 23' is big to me!
Lost a really nice one recently; ran hundreds of yards of line right under the surface but never saw it.
Had a few more on, last two trips, but they came off.

Glad your new reel catches fish!

I love my 23 more and more everytime I take it out. If it's too nasty to put it offshore I don't want to be out there anyway.

Exactly how I feel. We get enough nice days a year, that I could never fish them all anyway ! Only reason to go bigger would be to hold more ice/fuel for Bahamas trips.
