I believe Tracker bought Seacraft in '86. I have a Tracker 20' SF and 2 20' Potters, a Seafari and SF. It seems like Tracker made some improvements with the SF but cut a number of corners as well. It's all fixable but I believe the Potter hulls are better from what I've seen. Hope this helps.

After 20 years on the water all the bugs should be worked out and the boat should be OK. Its the hull shape that makes the boat!

I agree. Check the normal issues, transom, floor, fuel tank etc...

The things I noticed right away were scuppers out the stern and looks like they raised the floor a bit and put drain channels on both sides of the cockpit floor that lead to the scuppers. The major things I don't like is the console was huge (out of the 23 and called a Grande) which I ended up narrowing by 8" just to make room to walk by comfortably. The cockpit floor is not laying on the stringers for a long span on both sides resulting in some flex although it's nothing that a load of Potter Putty won't fix. These things are easy fixes and at the end of the day it still has the Seacraft pedigree and that is about as good as it gets

Forgot to add that it looks like the layup in the 2 Potters that I have is heavier than my Tracker hull. Also I'll try to get some measurements tomorrow to compare the 2 floor differences.
