1999 SEA CRAFT 23 CENTER CONSOLE PayPal Transaction ID: 13668994KD3862038
PRICE $39,999 with trailer 401-322-7474 [email protected] LOCATION: South County RI Professionally rigged with the finest hardware , components, and electronics for inshore and offshore fishing, this boat is a proven tuna raiser with the legendary Sea Craft 23 rough water ride and a 250 HP Yamaha F250UCA 4 stroke engine with SS shift-dampener prop, warrantied until 4/2016. Approximately 470 hours on the motor, which is correctly propped to run fully loaded for offshore fishing at the recommended top end revs. Spare shift-dampener SS prop. Full oil/filter/lower unit lube history. Vacuum engine oil change device included. Current RI registration and RI Title This may be read as heresy by some ,but: Built by Silver King in 1999, this hull and deck feature composite construction that is far superior to older hand layup Potter built Sea Crafts, or newer models with less sophisticated composite construction and lower quality systems and hardware. The hull topsides, decks, and covering boards are vacuum bagged PVC foam cored construction, with properly tapered core perimeters. All the slots between the core blocks are resin filled. The hull bottom is of solid laminate construction. Note that the boat is being sold without the fishing gear and personal items shown in the photos. During its comprehensive 2011 refit every effort was made to ensure high reliability and safety for inshore and offshore fishing. All pumps, hoses, and through hull fittings were changed, a new dashboard and windshield were fabricated, and all small gauge wiring terminations were updated with shrink tube sealed terminals. Battery cables were upgraded to 00 size. Here are some details: CONSOLE: Fly by wire binnacle and Yamaha Command Link digital gauges SIMRAD 12" NSE display/GPS/Plotter/ radar/sounder/structure scan Icom IC-M504 DSC radio slaved to GPS, Digital 6Db antenna Blue Seas 4 circuit switch/breaker panel for SIMRAD NSE functions Rule high water alarm annunciator at arrow Bennett trim tab rocker switches Edson 14" aluminum wheel with Edson spinner knob All new circuit breakers and boots in the switch panel. Original setup was un-latched so the hatch could open, flood the center compartment, and then drain into the bilges . Check the photo below. WEATHER CURTAINS: New in 3/2012 All side and back curtains roll up fully out of the way Bulb seals and foam tape at the curtain perimeters ensure watertight seals SYSTEMS UPGRADES 2012: All plastic through hulls fitting changed to GEMLUX SS fittings, including those for the forward in-deck fish boxes. Proper anti-siphon loops installed in all bilge discharge hoses - original setups would back-flood into the bilges because there were no anti-siphon loops in the hoses. All hose clamps are AWAB SS Shurflo Blaster raw water washdown pump Shurflo livewell supply pump Rule 750 GPH cartridge type livewell drain pump TOPSIDES GELCOAT AND BOTTOM PAINT DETAILS This boat's topsides will not win a beauty contest. The original red gelcoat is tired and oxidized, and will not respond well to compounding or waxing. The deck/sole gelcoat is in excellent shape. Once you run the boat on a rough day you will not care about the tired red gelcoat. I will negotiate a bit on price if you are a fanatic about exterior cosmetics and present me a credible bid for painting the topsides. Tuna and striped bass apparently do not care. All the bottom paint was removed by sanding 2011 12 mils Interlux Interprotect 2000 barrier coat was applied under proper conditions Two coats Micron CSC Extra - blue ablative AFP Two coats Micron CSC Extra - black 2012 - 1 coat - black Micron CSC Extra 2013 1 coat - black Micron CSC Extra 2014 1 coat black Micron CSC Extra SCUPPERS 1999 Silver King built Sea Crafts featured a very nice scupper system that drains a transverse gutter that spans the transom, but some of this model year's Seacrafts suffered from leaks around the injection molded scupper inserts, often at the joint between the hull liner and the transom's inside face. The original scuppers have been removed, and replaced with WEST epoxy potted 3" diameter fiberglass composite tubes, sealed against water reversion with replaceable exterior rubber flaps.
