I lightened up my transom

I'm now very close to finishing my 1989 20SF. I redid my transom with 1.5" coosa, removed the stainless steel transom plate and the 6" setback aluminum jackplate. I'm going to mount the same motor (150 hpdi, 480 lbs) directly on the transom. Now that I have over 100 lbs less weight on the transom and the motor will sit 6" forward than before, how much higher do you think the stern will sit in the water?

My guess, somewhere between .5 and 1.5 inches higher.

Look at the scum line to see how high the waterline is. How much weight would I need to remove to get the scuppers above water? Will a 70 lb lighter motor do it or am I just going to live with the wet feet.

Also look at the hose that connects the drain in the deck to the scupper. My boat an '86 20' , Master Angler has 2.5-3" of pitch to get water to the scupper. I'm gonna raise the scuppers so that the pitch is maybe 1/4" in the 12" it takes to get the water out of the boat.If he decks are solid this will keep your feet dry.

I have an 88 20 with the same motor and the scuppers are just below the water line. I have started to plug the deck drains and open them when needed. I would like to install some ball scuppers to see if that helps too.
