Rear Cleat access
Hello all. On my 77 Sceptre ( I think the SF is the same) the rear cleat does not seem to have access to the underside. I removed the vent, thinking it might be from there, but no dice. It allowed me access to the transom loop nuts, but not up to the cleat. Say you wanted to tighten or even replace these, how is it done?
Thanks!

Your clests were probably not factory installed, just screwed in.
Factory were bolted inside the transom thru the inner liner. Accessed thru a inspection port. Docking Lines were fed thru the hawse pipe. If you going to keep them on place, you will need to drill thru the cap and bolt them yourself.

The below pic is not my boat. I do believe it is a members boat. This is what I have. This person seems to have replaced the cleat. Mine has what appears to be the original aluminum ones that match the front ones. This appears to be a different setup that what you describe, Capt. Chuck.

Cleats
I thought there was access to remove the aft Marinium cleats which came when I ordered my '76 Seafari. My cleats are still tight and have never been removed. I looked today with a flashlight and mirror, it appears to remove them would require cutting access holes if they cannot be simply unscrewed, as no nuts were visible.

Aft Cleats
Looks like aft cleats were mounted before cap was attached. Maybe the cleats were used as lifting eyes to lower the cap in place.
